We focus on community involvement, as well as maintaining the ideals as set forth by the Late Great Bird of the Galaxy, Gene Roddenberry. All Las Vegas area Star Trek fans are encouraged to join us as we embark on our new and exciting mission. The USS Las Vegas will again be working with Robert Picardo to host the 3rd Annual Robert Picardo Charity Auction. The auction will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Hennessey's on Fremont Street. Check out the flyer for more details by clicking here. The officers and crew of the USS Las Vegas recently hosted an event for the premiere of the new Star Trek movie. The club set up a table and worked with sponsors to give away gifts and promote several Star Trek related products. Click here for the digital images of the event. SPECIAL AWAY MISSION REPORT! The officers and crew of the USS Las Vegas, along with special guests, were recently allowed access to the Enterprise 1701-D Bridge set located at Star Trek: The Experience. A crew photo was taken and then additional photos were taken by crew members. The USS Las Vegas is always looking for new members. We are looking for any and all Star Trek fans to join us as we continue to celebrate the wonderful world of Star Trek. Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Quark's Bar & Restaurant at Star Trek: The Experience located inside the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino. Membership in the IFT and the USS Las Vegas is only $14 per year for officers and even less for enlisted crew and family memberships. Upcoming events include local civic activities, charitable activities, away missions with other Star Trek clubs, i.e. Disneyland (Mouse Trek), Universal Studios-Hollywood (Jurassic Trek), and other local area amusements.
