Ventrilo Software Configuration

In order to join the USS Las Vegas Star Trek Online Gamers, you will need to download the Ventrilo software so we can chat during game play. Go to http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php to download the software.

You need a microphone and speakers. If you have a webcam, there should be a microphone built in. Once you have the software installed, follow these instructions to get online quickly.

• Hit the arrow next to User Name and create any name you like
   

• Hit the arrow next to Server and enter the following info:
   

• Click NEW and enter any name for the connection that makes sense to you.
   

• In the Hostname or IP field, enter "vent10.gamespeak.com"
   

• In the port field, enter "4575"
   

• In the password field, enter "lucky" without quotes
   

• Leave everything else blank or at the defaults.
   

• Hit OK, then back on the main dialog, hit Connect.

Once you have done this, double-click on the room that you want to be in and you're all set.

By default, you press the left CTRL key to speak. You can change that if you want.
