Meeting Called to order by Captain Paul Walker who welcomed and thanked the crew for attending

Departmental Reports

Science Report - Given By CSO Barbara givens opened with her discussing international Rockets and satellites. She showed visual aids of the satellites and rockets and explained that the gold colored one were actually covered in gold because it is noble metal and won't tarnish. She visited the Lowell observatory in Williams Arizona and went through the tour of the telescope housing mechanism. She also spoke on Pluto not being in a elliptical orbit around the sun. She showed a brochure featuring a blind tour group visiting Lowell as well. She also talked about on of our satellites Landsat that can photograph the earth completely every 18 days.

Latinum Fund Report - Communications Officer Robert Niwa gave report of $33.00 currently in fund.

All other departments reported all systems functioning within normal parameters.

Old Business:

1. Xanadu Convention Update: Xanadu will be held at The Plaza Hotel downtown on April 17th, 18th and 19th 2009. Guests include Richard Hatch, Lawrence Montaigne and others. Vote was taken as to whether to assist with convention planning and eighteen people voted we should help. Scott Anderson owner of Xanadu spoke about club free tables and thanked everyone for getting involved with his brand new convention.

Next Meeting Date: Next Meeting to be held at Hacienda Gardens at east Bonanza and Lamb on October 15th 2008.
