Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM by Captain Walker. He welcomed all the crew and guests.

Departmental Reports

Latinum Fund Report - given by XO Cornwell $270 previous month added $100.00 new total of $370.00 Mike spoke about need for $550.00 for table and power at convention and the fact that we are getting to our goal.

All other departments reported all systems functioning within normal parameters.

Old Business:

  1. 2008 Star Trek Convention Planning - XO Cornwell stated that we would be getting one table and power and the funds still need to raised over the next two months for that.
     

  2. Robert Picardo Charity Auction - Captain Walker showed the advertisement in Star Trek the magazine donated by Tye from the Lighter side of Sci Fi. Suggested everyone get their tickets in advance to help this worthy cause. Paul introduced Jeffery Breslauer as the co auctioneer to assist Robert Picardo and hinted at the surprise guests who will be dropping in. Gave the website again to buy tickets at www.Robertpicardo.com.
     

  3. Crew Biographies and IFT Exams - Captain talked about the crew biographies on the USS Las Vegas website and the fact they need to be updated by all the officers on the crew of the USS Las Vegas. He gave cost of $11.00 for the advancement classes on the IFT website which assist you in gaining higher ranks quicker and suggested everyone take them.

New Business:

  1. Star Trek Update- Captain Walker talked about William Shatner's new autobiography "Up Till Now" and Shatner's promotional tour for the book. He also spoke on Diamond Select Toys new "OS Tricorders" due out in September.
     

  2.  SAM Movie Night- XO Cornwell talked about "INDY 4" and when and where would be a good time to attend. It was reluctantly decided to go on Saturday may 24th, about 8 member expressed availability and interest in the time slot.
     

  3. Captain Walker address crew explaining the fact that Johnathon Mc Farland has moved on the Vermont and will not be returning.
     

  4. Save the Experience Campaign- Captain . Walker spoke about the email he received from Justin Toney regarding the possible closure on Star Trek the Experience.
     

  5. Las Vegas Review Journal Story- Captain walker showed the latest in articles on the possible closure on the experience and discussed how he was contacted and interviewed fro the RJ story.
