Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM by Captain Walker. He welcomed all the crew and guests and explained the new procedure for paying the dinner bill.

Departmental Reports

Science Report  - CSO Barbara Givens reported on James Darren's appearance. She spoke on the Star Trek discussion group and the episode "His Way" Starring James Darren as a Holographic singer. She also related her problems with the Hamilton Collection and receiving products. Her report continued on the Griffith Observatory and "Hard Landing's of Russian spacecraft with no runway and astronauts fighting 10 G forces. On the scale of five being a disaster the flight of the Russian spacecraft was listed a three. Water on Mars was also discussed and it may have been ammonia producing Aluvial planes and other formations thought to have been produced by water before. The reason that Easter came so early this year was due to the moon and the occurrence of the spring equinox. She also stated she attended the sealing of a Time Capsule Dedication this week.

Latinum Fund Report - XO Mike Cornwell gave the report $270 total in the fund to date.

All other departments reported all systems functioning within normal parameters.

Old Business:

1. 2008 Convention Update- XO Mike Cornwell conducted a revote on the convention table/s issue again. The vote was taken by raised hands and the vote dictated only one table would be purchased this year for the Creation Star Trek Convention in August. Total cost will be $550.00 including electricity.

New Business:

1. Star Trek Update- Captain Paul Walker spoke on release date for Star Trek 11 in May of 2009. Also updated was the Star Trek OS Remastering project by CBS is now completed and 14 episodes are remaining to air on television stations. Season 2 of the Remastered episodes will be go on sale on August 5th 2008. Also discussed was new books being released in September of this year. Star Trek 101 will be one of these it will be a primer for all things Star Trek. The 2009 Star Trek Calendars are available to pre-order on Amazon.com.
    

2.  Officer Exams- Three exams are available for faster advancement in the organization. These courses are available on the IFT Website. The courses offered are $11.00 total.
   1. Officer Candidate Course
   2. Staff Officer Course
   3. Commanding Officer Course
    

3. Crew member Biographies- Officers need to update crew biographies on the club website. These will need to updated as soon as possible.
    

4. SAM Ideas were discussed by XO Cornwell suggestions for "Movie Nights" included Indiana Jones 4, Speed Racer and Get smart. May 22nd is the release date for Indy and was discussed as possible date.

Frank Brown Promoted to Lt. Commander 3rd Class
Mike Blanchard promotion based on service points
Robert Niwa- Communications officer was presented with a special commendation for services above and beyond the call of duty whereas he has been very instrumental in assisting the Captain f the USS Las Vegas in the recovery of the Captain's medical condition.
