Meeting called to order by Captain Walker at 6:30pm
 
Captain Walker welcomed everyone to the meeting and made note that this was the largest meeting in the history of the ship.

Departmental Reports

Science Report  - Science Officer Barbara Givens reported on her story submitted and printed by Roddenberry. com on hybrid humans and the 46 chromosome theory and how they relate to Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future. This is the first of four articles which will be published, a new article in November will reach 100,000 subscribers.

Latinum Fund Report - XO Mike Cornwell reported that the ship added $37 to the Latinum Fund bringing the balance to $157.

All other departments reported all systems functioning within normal parameters.

Old Business:

1. Newsletter Name - Names submitted will be chosen from soon and voted on at next meeting, One suggestion was "Delta Flyer" Reported by Captain Walker and XO Cornwell
    

2. Refuse Collection- XO Cornwell apologized for the mix up and thanked Silas Naig and Frank Brown for attending and willing to help.

New Business:

1. Star Trek Update - Captain Walker stated that progress has been made on casting the new movie, Chris Pine has been cast as Captain James T. Kirk, all others cast except for role of Dr. McCoy.
    

2. Menagerie Away mission discussed by Captain Walker, location chosen is Red Rock Station, time 7:30PM. It was also discussed to use as recruiting time for new members.
    

3. Halloween Party and K'Ehelyr Station Decommissioning - Invitations given out for Oct 31st at 5:00 PM event at Home of Wendy and Bob Fillmore.
    

4. SAM Ideas- discussed by Chief Morale Officer Joshua Andrews, some possible locations were Ethel M's Christmas lighting, Thanksgiving Dinner called "Today is a Good Day To Dine"
    

5. Holiday Party Planning was discussed by Captain Walker December 12th chosen as possible date.
    

6. Alternate Meeting locations were discussed in case group outgrows current location. Factor taken into account noise, private meeting rooms, cost, etc. Locations discussed include Carabos Mexican Restaurant, Pat Arthur's clubhouse.
    

Awards and Presentations

Cadet Lauren Esquivel received membership certificate from Captain Walker.

CMO Douglas Alexander promoted to Ensign 2nd Class.


Next Meeting Date: November 14, 2007 at Quark's. Note: The meeting was moved up a week to avoid conflicts with the Thanksgiving Holiday.
