Departmental Reports

Science Report- Rudy Rivera donated "Star Trek Encounter's Video game as prize for Trivia contest Science Officer Barbara Givens absent for meeting.

Latinum Fund Report- XO Mike Cornwell reported $300.00 in fund with last months $50.00 dollars in donations also reported that convention table is paid for in full for August convention.

Other Departments Reports- All departments report ship operating with normal parameters.


Old Business:

  1. The Picardo Project - Plans have been finalized for Friday night Dinner only for club members - restaurant choices to be given to Robert Picardo 1. Fellini's Italian Restaurant - inside Stratosphere Tower-Best choice for location near convention, and great layout for photos and extra guests if needed.
    2. Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant - Flamingo and Decatur
    3. Lone Star Steak House - Flamingo and Maryland Parkway

    Cost for dinner will be $25.00-$27.00 per person.
     

  2. Table is paid for in full and reserved for August.
    1. Schedules to man the table will discussed at next meeting.
    2. IFT will be sharing the table again this sending their representatives.
     

  3.  SAM Refuse Collection - Away mission took place on Sunday June 10th. Douglas Alexander, Mike Cornwell and Richard Graves participated in cleaning up the highway Thank you
     

  4. Klingon Feast Report-  "May 'bogh" our Klingon sister ship hosted an event at The Camden Commons on Saturday June 2nd several members of the USS Las Vegas attended Captain Walker was presented with the Winner of the Bat'leth Tournament Certificate. It was a fun evening for all.
     

New Business:

  1. SAM Plans for July were discussed and July 11th was chosen for an away mission to The Springs Preserve complex on Valley View and Meadows Lane. 10 people expressed and interest in attending. Cost is $14.95 and we will meet at the main Gate.
     

  2. Star Trek Update

    Captain Walker discussed Star trek 11 in pre production, writer Roberto Orci mentioned CBS may be interested in doing 6th Star Trek television show if movie does well. Also the budget for the film is being taken into account while writing for "big Budget" anticipation from Paramount. Story will fill in the gaps in Starfleet history.

    TNG BOX SET- An all new boxed set of DVD's due out Oct. 2cd, 2007 it will feature all seven years of episodes and new features being filmed now for the 20th Anniversary of the series.

    Captain's Log fan set is still available for sale on Amazon. com for $29.19 and will be released July 24th, 2007

    Star trek hallmark Ornaments- Will premier July 14 &15 at Gold crown stores nationwide. This years offering are 1. Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan bridge diorama- with lights and sound effects for $28.00 2. Future Enterprise D from "All Good Things" with lights for $32.00

    Lightspeed fineart- has announced new litho- "I Have Been and Always shall be your friend" a Tribute to the 40 year Friendship of both Kirk and Spock and William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. It will be premiered at the convention in August and have a starting price of $795.00. They do take lay-away payment also at no interest charge.

    Kelly Fuller The journalist from Australia will be back in Las Vegas for the convention and is looking forward to seeing everyone.

    The IFT has a new website at www.IFTCOMMAND.com also the new annual due prices are posted on the new super cool site.

    IFT also has on the site in Ships stores, Three training classes available to advance you in rank, they cost between $3.00 and $5.00 each to complete. Check them out to move up the ladder of rank.

Awards and Presentations

Several crew members were promoted and several new crew members were presented with their membership certficates.
