Captain Walker began by welcoming
everyone to the meeting. We were very pleased to have been joined by
representatives from the USS Columbia of Starfleet International and from
K'Ehlyar Station, also of Starfleet International. Captain Walker
introduced the guests and welcomed them to the meeting.
XO Cornwell, then began the trivia game and asked a question of the group
for later discussion and answer.
Department Reports:
1. Science Officer Report – CSO Givens - This report was regarding global
warming and included many facts from the past, present and future. The
general information presented appears to show that while mankind is
contributing to global warming, there are also many other factors that
affect the planets temperature as well. CSO Givens gave facts from the
past indicating previous warming and cooling period of the Earth which
occurred long before man came on the scene, some that occurred after man
but before the Industrial Revolution and some that have happened fairly
recently. Overall everyone enjoyed learning about this issue and the group
expressed their appreciation to CSO Givens for her insightful report.
2. Latinum Fund Report – XO

Old Business:
1. IFT Dues Increase - Captain Walker reminded the IFT members that dues
have gone to $14/yr
2. Captain Walker read an e-mail
from Brent Boehler from the IFT asking for opinions regarding what the IFT
is doing well, and suggestions for areas that could be improved. Any
comments or suggestions can be e-mailed directly to Brent at
bboehler@gmail.com.
3. Christmas Holiday Party Report
- Captain Walker - The USS Las Vegas Christmas Party was a huge success
and everyone agreed that we all had a great time. Our CSO, Barbara Givens
opened her home to the group once again and was a most gracious host.
Captain Walker presented CSO Givens with a certificate of appreciation for
her service and hospitality to the crew. Her home has been nicknamed, "Ten
Forward." CSO Givens thanked the crew and again offered her home for the
party next year if needed.
4. January/February SAM - General
discussion was held but no ideas were forthcoming or adopted.
5. Kelly Fuller Update - Captain
Walker updated the crew on the current status of the magazine articles
that Australian writer, Kelly Fuller was writing covering the convention
and our interests in Star Trek.
New Business:
1. Star Trek Update – Captain Walker - There was not much real news to
report this meeting.
2. After a brief discussion,
February 7, 2007 was set as the date for the next Refuse Collection Away
Mission.
3. Pat Arthur then discussed more ideas for a celebrity auction. Cost
details are being researched and will be presented to the crew at a future
MCM for possible adoption.
4. MouseTrek - Damien Metz - This will be the 13th annual MouseTrek.
Damien Metz, the organizer of the event presented information to the crew
regarding when the event will take place and the cost. Captain Walker
indicated he would definitely be going, as will the XO and several members
of each crew indicated an interest in going. This even will take place the
weekend of March 31, 2007 and the cost is $150 which includes your ride,
entrance into DisneyLand and hotel accommodations for the night. To

Awards:
Captain Walker concluded the
meeting by again thanking all the guests for attending and adjourning the
meeting. A group photo was taken afterwards.
