Away Missions May 24, 2008 - USS Las Vegas Movie Matinee The officers and crew of the USS Las Vegas gathered at the Red Rock Casino to view the new Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. December 12, 2007 - USS Las Vegas Holiday Party The officers and crew of the USS Las Vegas held their annual holiday party at the Lone Star Steakhouse. Everyone had a great time. October 31, 2007 - K'Ehleyr Station invites USS Las Vegas for decommissioning ceremony The crew of K'Ehleyr Station invited the officers and crew of the USS Las Vegas to attend a special celebration and decommissioning ceremony of the K'Ehleyr Station. September 13, 2006 - 7:00 PM - "Star Trek Movie Night" On September 13, 2006 - the crew of the USS Las Vegas got together at our Chief Science Officer's home to have some food and drink and to watch the movie, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Most of the crew was in attendance and everyone had a very good time. Our CSO, Barbara Givens has a beautiful home and a very impressive collection of Star Trek plates and photos. Most of the photos were individually autographed to her directly. The crew extends their gratitude to Barbara for her generous hospitality. Click here for the digital images from the event. July 12, 2006 - 5:45 PM - "Superman Returns Movie Night" On July 12, 2006, members of the crew of the USS Las Vegas met at the Century Santa Fe Theatre to watch the new Superman Returns movie. Everyone enjoyed the movie very much. Click here for the digital images from the social away mission (SAM). June 7, 2006 - 7:00 PM - "Today is a good day to dine." The Social Away Mission to the Komol Thai Restaurant was a success and several members of the crew enjoyed good food and good company. The attendees were Captain Walker, Chief of Operations Brown, Chief Engineer Angelos, Chief of Security Naig and Chief Morale Officer Andrews. Another tentative Social Away Mission was suggested for June 28, 2006 when the new Superman movie is released to theatres. More discussion will be held at the Monthly Crew Meeting on June 21, 2006. See you there! March 15, 2006 - 6:00 PM - Joint Away Mission with USS Battleborn The joint away mission with the USS Battleborn was a great success. Dinner was excellent and we were able to meet with some members of the USS Nathan Hale as well. We even had our GEO 5 Commander, Nathan Gastineau attending the meeting and meal. Captain Gastineau reviewed the plans for the IFT Conference and approved the site recommendation of the Tuscany. Click here for the digital recordings.
